Super speed - Shiny.
Why did you choose to share those skills in particular?
My super speed is an awesome power. I think everyone should be able to experience having it, even if it's just for a couple days. Also, it's the only skill I've gotten back so far. I would've given more skills away if I had them back.
What skills were shared with you, and from whom? (just a list is fine)
Minor transmutation - Shiny.
Why do you think you received these skills in particular?
I'm not really sure, because Shiny apparently hates change, but I guess he wanted me to see what it was like to use it.
If you could choose one skill to keep forever, which would it be and why?
Shiny's transmutation skill is really cool, but I would want to keep my super speed. It's part of who I am and I feel weird without it.
If you had to choose one skill to lose forever, which would it be?
I wouldn't want to lose any skill forever. I mean, I only have one back so far, so then I'd be totally skill-less, and that would suck.
Did you discover anything about yourself or your friends this way?
I learned that Shiny really hates change, but he cares a lot about Carnelian and wants us to do well in games. So he gave me his skill even though he would have preferred to keep it, and he took mine, even though he didn't want it. He puts Carnelian ahead of himself sometimes, and that's cool of him. As for myself, I learned that even though my super speed is part of who I am, I'm still a cool person without it, I guess.

One was calculated to be useful to her own study of magic, the second to be versatile, useful, and likely to contribute to a victory in this game. The third was a matter of safety in a realm filled with children using new magic for the first time.

None. They are not mine. If they were part of me, I would have them.

Did you discover anything about yourself or your friends this way?
I am myself. They are themselves. Transplanting skills without the context in which they were acquired does not facilitate discovery; it facilitates wild, senseless, and inexpert use of skills by children enamored with the most mundane applications of those skills without any incentive for them to learn the origins, underpinnings, or full extent of what they have acquired. This game is, in short, doomed to produce superficial results.
